These fortifications were part of Rommel& x27;s Atlantic Wall built along the French coast during World War 2. The attacks of the sea and the resulting land errosion have slowly but surely won, giving back the landscape to its previous peacefull appearance. This is a beautiful spot for morning walks at low tide.
