The Grande Arch of Amoreiras, here viewed from north, begins the final session of 10 arches, ending at the Mãe d'ÃÂgua reservoir. This section was built between 1745 and 1756 and commemorates the arrival of water to Lisbon. It was built under project of the hungarian engeneer Carlos Mardel. |
