Located about 30 kilometres 19 mi east of the city center, PThe airport is operated by Shanghai Airport Authority. The airport is the main hub for China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines, and a major international hub for Air China, as well as secondary hub of China Southern Airlines.
