Kromeriz German Kremsier, nicknamed Haná Athens. In 1997, Kroměříž was declared the most beautiful historical town in the Czech Republic and a year later, the local Archbishop`s Chateau, along with the Květná and Podzámecky gardens, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was founded by Olomouc Bishop Bruno of Schauenburg in 1260.
