| A failed experiment back in 1957 introduced some 200 Kiskadee birds from Trinidad to Bermuda. It was hoped that the birds would eat anole lizards to keep their population under control. Instead, the Kiskadees started feeding more on eggs and chicks of smaller birds like the endemic White eyed Vireo and the native Bluebird causing the populations of these native species to drop dramatically. |
