Built under the guidance of architect Wyrenberg structure [1446] in the past used as courthouse, commercial and administrative management building. In the market hall was in the sixteenth, 16th, century the weigh, weighing house. Today the historical building is the tallest freestanding town hall, city hall, in the Rhineland, in the so-called brick Gothic. This property is a landmark, cultural heritage site, monument and tourist attraction. In the ratskeller [Council Cellar, basement of the town hall] is now a restaurant located. On the market square people, bikers are ready to ride away on their bikes. The shadow that has fallen over the marketplace has expelled them from the terrace. The sun still shines only on the city hall, the highlight of the small town.
