Bearded iris is characterized by the presence on the outer parts of perianth barbs of the many hairs. Flower ââ¬Åis two-storey, six petals are arranged in two tiers : the three dome rise up, and three gently lower a little ends down . Its name flowers are obliged botany - systematics Karl Linney, who gave the name irisem after the Greek goddess of the rainbow - the Iris. The ancient Greeks believed Irida a mediator between gods and men, which, like the rainbow, being born after the rain, connects heaven and earth.
