Shah Cheragh Mosque, Shiraz, Iran. It is a funeral monument and mosque in Shiraz, housing the tombs of brothers Ahmad and Muhammad, sons of Musa al Khadim and brothers of Ali arl Ridha. The two took refuge during the Abbassid persecution of Shia Muslim. The tombs became the celebrate pilgrimage centres in 14th century when Queen Tashi Kathun erected a mosque and theological school in the vicinity. |
