Iordan Iovkov was a prominent Bulgarian writer from the interwar period. Born in the village of Zheravna, Yovkov studied at First Sofia MenÃ¢â¬â¢s High School, from which he graduated in 1900 with honors, and became a teacher and one of the more famous writers in Bulgaria.
