Milan, Italy - June 30, 2015: Five solar trees lamps of the German pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015 called “idea seedlings” use Organic Photovoltaic OPV modules impressed on films as integrated, virtually invisible systems, with which are being a part of giant mushroom-like lamps, that produce electricity during the day hours and connected to storage system, use this solar energy in rings of LED of high efficiency for night illumination. The form and appearance of the voltaic system are being dictated by the architect, not by the technology available. These picturesque lamps also serve as umbrella to create a soft shadow inside the exposition space. It was a world`s first architecturally fully integrated PV system based on flexible printed OPV modules.
