Shrubs, 1-4 meters high; stems often emit many radial branches at the base to form a round shrub; branches are cylindrical. The leaves are papery or nearly leathery, obovate or broad-elliptic. Corymb-like cymes are subglobose, 8-20 cm in diameter, with short total pedicels, densely packed, pink, light blue or white; petals are oblong, 3-3.5 mm long.
