Dance drama ââ¬ÅThe Dream of Maritime Silk Roadââ¬Â centers on the plot of two generations of a sailor family in Southern Fujian chasing their dreams to sail to west Asia. It reproduces a prosperous picture of maritime silk road in southern China which started from CiTong Harbor of Quanzhou, Fujian province 800 years ago. The dance drama demonstrates a distinctive Minnan culture as well as the conditions and customs of the local people of different countries and regions along the maritime silk road. Itââ¬â¢s been invited to perform at UN Headquarters in New York, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and EU Headquarters in Brussels. ââ¬ÅThe Dream of Maritime Silk Roadââ¬Â represented by the Song and Dance Ensemble of Fujian Province played at Jiangxi Arts Center, Dec 29, 2015.
