Hotel de Haro in Roche Harbor in Washington state on San Juan island. Roche Harbor is a historic seaside resort located on San Juan Island, Washington. The Hotel de Haro is the Grand Dame of Roche Harbor. Built in 1886 on top of the old Hudson Bay Company bunk house, it is the oldest operating hotel in Washington state. The floor plan is laid out in a traditional 19 century style, with some rooms containing an ensuite bathroom and others using several private common bathrooms off the hall. The interior décor is a mix of one-foot old-growth beams and floral wallpaper, which adds to the feel of being a guest in the Roche Harbor Lime and Cement Company private hotel.
