This very historic Coit Tower is named for Lillian Hitchcock Coit, who left some money in her will to build this Art Deco tower for the city she so loved. The interior is equally famous for the frescos and other artifacts inside. Because of her well known love of all things related to firefighting, and how there top of the tower does look like a fire nozzle, many people think that was done intensionally, when it was pure coincidence. The tower sits on top of San Francisco Telegraph Hill.
