| This is a view of the interior courtyard and the wings of the Museum of the Revolution, Museo de la Revolucion, in Havana, Cuba. It was formerly a presidential palace. The displays highlight the struggles of Fidel Castro and his supporters fighting against the forces of the dictator Fulgencio Batista, and taking power in 1959. The often heavy-handed propagandistic displays highlight the achievements of the revolution in combating illiteracy, setting up national health care, agrarian reform and carrying the socialist/communist banner throughout the world. |
