Hashima Island, commonly called Gunkanjima (meaning Battleship Island), is former coal mining island. It's one of the oldest coal mine in Japan. In 1974, it becomes uninhabited island due to closing of coal mine. It is listed on Tentative list of World Heritage Sites as a industrial heritage.
