The Gulf Fritillary or Passion butterfly (Agraulis vanillae) is a striking, bright orange butterfly of the family Nymphalidae, subfamily Heliconiinae. It takes its name from the fact that migrating flights of the butterflies are sometimes seen over the Gulf of Mexico. |
