| Blarney Castle, Irish: Caisleán na Blarnan, County Cork, Ireland, built in 1446 was a medieval stronghold. The famous Blarney stone of carboniferous limestone is built into the battlements. According to local legend, kissing the stone bestows the gift of the gab. This is a view of the 60 acres of gardens, avenues, arboretums and waterways at Blarney. We witnessed a wedding the day of our visit. |
