The Grand U-turn of the Yangtze river. At the foot of Baimang Snow Mountains, Deqin county of Yunnan Province, China. The Yangtze River or Chang Jiang is the longest river in Asia and the third longest in the world. The river is about 6,300 km long and flows from its source in Qinghai Province, eastwards into the East China Sea at Shanghai. It has traditionally been considered a dividing line between North and South China.
