One of the most beautiful buildings in Gda?sk (1609-17), erected in the Renaissance style. The facade, richly decorated with sculptures, formerly richly gilded (hence its name), presents the heads of rulers and leaders, battle scenes and the founders' coats of arms. The top of the tenement house is crowned by a statue of Fortuna.
