Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples, in the Gombak district, 13 kilometers (8 miles) north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia .At an altitude of almost 100 meters from the seabed, the Batu Caves temple complex consists of three main caves and a few smaller caves. The largest cave known as Cathedral Cave or Temple Cave. Therein tedapat a Hindu temple. To reach the cave visitors must climb 272 steps.A statue of 42.7 meters (140 feet) tall Muruga was launched in January 2006, having taken three years to build. It is the tallest Lord Muruga statue in the world.
