Gedung Sate which during the Dutch East Indies was called Gouvernements Bedrijven (GB), the laying of the first stone was carried out by Johanna Catherina Coops, the eldest daughter of the Mayor of Bandung, B. Coops and Petronella Roelofsen, representing the Governor-General in Batavia, J.P. Graaf van Limburg Stirum on 27 July 1920
