In fact, some believe that the golden ratio embodies the essence of beauty in the compositions of Da Vinci, referred to as the "sectio aurea." They argue that he utilized it to establish the proportions in his renowned works such as the "Last Supper," "Vitruvian Man," and "Mona Lisa." Evidently, our brains exhibit a predisposition towards objects and images that adhere to the divine proportion. Numerous studies have demonstrated that when participants are tasked with selecting the most attractive faces from a series of random ones, they consistently favor those exhibiting golden proportions between the width of the face and the width of the eyes, nose, and eyebrows, despite their lack of familiarity with the mathematical concepts involved. This design is thus rooted in the irresistible allure of the divine proportion. The golden ratio has been discovered and rediscovered numerous times, resulting in its various names such as the golden number, extreme and mean ratio, golden mean, golden section, divine proportion, and others. The Fibonacci sequence is also known as the golden sequence, and the golden ratio is often symbolized using phi, the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet. Wherever natural growth occurs, the presence of Fibonacci numbers can be observed.
