Symphyotrichum Pilosum, commonly called Frost Aster, a perennial wildflower native to Canada and the U.S. The stems are erect, ascending or arch spreading. Large, robust plants that have a shrubbery appearance and grow up to 3 1/2 feet tall. The Flower heads are white with yellow disk florets later turning a reddish-brown. Bloom time is September through November. Prefers full sun, moist soil and can be extremely evasive.
