| Officially the Don Lee Building, this city landmark on the very corner of Van Ness and O`Farrell Streets in San Francisco opened in 1921 as a Cadillac showroom just when the personal car was becoming more and more accessible to the every man. To sell a grand car you needed a grand showroom, and Don lee sold a lot of Cadillac`s from here. Still sporting the Cadillac engraved named and crest over the front entry door, the ground floor is now primarily an AMC multiplex with condos above. |
