The present fortress was built on the site of another fortification built in the 15th century 1492 and belonged to the Transylvanian voivode, Báthori István. This first fortress was destroyed in 1601, during Michael the Brave, following the invasion led by Giorgio Basta.The photo was taken in Targu Mures, Romania
