Prunus mume f. alphandii (Carr.) Rehd. is a plant of the Rosaceae family and the Prunus genus. In the plum blossom variety, it belongs to the straight branch plum family and is of the palace pink type. Its flowers have multiple petals to double petals and are either dark or light red in color. Deciduous trees, reaching up to 10 meters in height. The trunk is brownish purple with longitudinal stripes, and the small branches are thin and hairless, mostly green. The leaves are broadly ovate to ovate in shape, with a gradually growing pointed or caudal tip at the tip, a wide wedge-shaped or nearly circular base, serrated and fine pointed, and only hairy on the dorsal veins of the leaves. The flowers bloom in winter or early spring before the leaves, and the fruit is spherical in shape, yellow green in color, and ripe from May to June.
