Global warming certainly has to be the cause of the extraordinary and unusual soaring temperatures Australia is experiencing each summer. Heat waves that normally would last one or two weeks are now lasting over a month and the soaring temperatures are rising. Every year we lose lives, properties, animals, livestock and wildlife to bushfires in Australia, especially in the more rural regions. The wildlife we have lost has got to the point that some species of animals have now been put on the critically endangered list of extinction in the wild. Fire fighters and rescue workers take huge risks each year and despite their expertise and experience, we have at times lost some of these special heroes to bush fires.
