Basilica da Estrela is one of the main Catholic monuments and temples in Lisbon, Portugal. It was built at the end of the 18th century on a hill in the west of the Portuguese capital, in the Lapa neighborhood. The temple has characteristics of the late Baroque and Neoclassical styles. The project is by architect José da Costa e Silva, from the school that built the imposing Mafra convent
