Basilica da Estrela is one of the main Catholic monuments and temples in Lisbon, Portugal. It was built at the end of the 18th century on a hill in the west of the Portuguese capital, in the Lapa neighborhood. The temple has characteristics of the late Baroque and Neoclassical styles. The project is by architect JosÃ© da Costa e Silva, from the school that built the imposing Mafra convent
