| The CL-30, later designated CT-133, was a tandem two-seat, armed trainer version of the F80 âShooting Starâ, powered by a Rolls Royce Nene 10 turbojet, delivering 5,400 lb thrust. Armament consisted of two nose-mounted 12.7 mm (0.5 in) machine-guns plus various light bombs, rockets and machine-gun pods. It had a service ceiling of 48,000 feet, a maximum speed of 600 mph at sea level and a cruising speed of 455 mph. The normal range was 1,025 miles and the maximum range was 1,275 miles. |
