| Famous and dramatically situated castle on the north-west coast of the Highlands of Scotland, Eilean Donan was the seat of the Clan Macrae until being almost destroyed after the Jacobite rebellion of 1645. It was reconstructed and restored in the 1920s and has been the location for many films. Taken at sunset with sunlight low across the water and a dark stormy sky in the background. |
