A young Tangkhul Naga man from Ukhrul Manipur in traditional dress with tattoos and pierced earlobes with distinctive hairstyle called `Haoret` coiffure and a spear. Every Tangkhul Naga man wears a tattoo before the advent of Christianity.Though this is a rare sight now in the present ,Augustine Horchuingam Shimray proudly displays the heritage and identity of his fore fathers. Naga men have their ears pierced at an early age just after the adolescence and gradually distend the holes in the earlobes until they are large enough to receive tip of animal horns and tusks, bamboo ornament and tobacco rolls.
