| The Route of the Cares is one of the well-known routes of the Picos de Europa, located between the province of Leon and the Principality of Asturias, in Spain. It runs through the Cares River gorge, between the Asturian town of Puente Poncebos and the Leon de Posada de Valdeón passing through the Cain, also Leon. Once the route was the only communication between the two peoples during the winter snowfall. |
