After the Church Service Princess, Royal Anne want to see Members of the RNLI lay a Wreaths at the Memorial outside the Lifeboat Station in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK. A memorial service will be held later for five RNLI volunteers who died in the Fraserburgh lifeboat disaster 50 years ago. The Duchess of Kent lifeboat was overturned by a freak wave in gale-force conditions while escorting a Danish fishing vessel to safety. The tragedy, on 21 January 1970, left five women widowed and 15 children mourning the loss of a father. The joint funeral of those who perished was attended by 13, 000 people.
