The former flagship of the Holland America Line, the SS Rotterdam, was purchased by Housing Woonbron to be converted to floating conference center, also had to include a hotel and get a training on the vessel. Setbacks did increase cost tremendously and the Dutch population was furious because the housings's capital doesn't belong to turn to (semi) commercial, social projects, which do not lead directly to an increase in quality of living and housing expansion.
