| A shipwreck that has played peekaboo in the sands of Holywell Bay for more than 100 years has been on show once again .The SS Francia, was a 700 ton steam-powered Argentinean coaster that saw its demise after setting out fromÃÂ NewquayÃÂ with a cargo of coal.
However, as the walking group revealed, some reports suggest that the Francia sank four miles out at sea... So how it wound up so near the shoreline remains a mystery. |
