| Cochem is a small town in Mosel valley, located on both sides of the river and connected by just two bridges. The colorful medieval old town is on the north side with the Reichsburg above. Reichsburg is a rebuilt castle with medieval origins, but 19th century shape. During summer Cochem is quite touristic while it can be very quiet in winter. The town is regularly hit by floods and knows how to deal with small and average floods. |
