Actress and comedian Cloris Leachman relaxes in her dressing room at the Drury Lane Theatre at Water Tower Place in Chicago Illinois following her performance in the stage play 'Twigs ' on July 25 1981.  The Iowa-born star was doubtless familiar with the locale since she attended Northwestern University in nearby Evanston.  Leachman was nominated a record 22 times for a Primetime Emmy  and took home 8 which was many years later tied by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  Leachman won in addition an Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her poignant role in 'The Last Picture Show' in 1971.   Leachman died in Encinitas California on January 27 2021 at the age of 94.
