Chrysanthemum is a precious ornamental flower cultivated by long-term artificial selection. It was passed from China to Japan as an ornamental chrysanthemum around the 8th century. At the end of the 17th century Dutch merchants introduced Chinese chrysanthemums to Europe, to France in the 18th century, and to North America in the mid-19th century. Since then, Chinese chrysanthemum has spread all over the world
