Chateau Pardubice, museum. The original fortress likely dates to the 13th century; in the 14th century it was rebuilt as a Gothic castle. The Pernstein family subsequently rebuilt the castle as a Gothic-Renaissance chateau. This chateau was purchased in 1560 by the royal chamber and ceased to be an aristocratic residence. The significantly dilapidated chateau was repaired by the Museum Associatio. |
