This is a Fall picture of the St. Charles Air Line railroad bridge over the South branch of the Chicago River located in the Chinatown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. When completed in 1919 this bridge was the longest (2000 foot) and heaviest single-leaf Heel Trunnions Bachleda Bridge in the world. The bridge was designed by Joseph B. Strauss. The South bridge is still used the North bridge is no longer used. This picture was taken on October 19, 2016.
