The Cave of the Patriarchs or Cave of Machpelah (and known by Muslims as the Sanctuary of Abraham or the Ibrahimi Mosque) in the old city of Hebron. The name of the complex reflects the old tradition of the double tombs of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah. The cave complex, like the old city of Hebron, is divided into two sectors: a mosque in the Arab part, a synagogue in the Jewish part. In the photo the exterior of the Jewish part.
