The lifestyle in California is one that many people dream of. I live it. As a surfer, I am tuned into the culture of people who locate themselves near the ocean. I took this shot one afternoon; a cultural blend of beach inhabitants; the exchange of surfers on their way in and out of the water, Couples and families walking, tourists exploring, and children playing. The background of beach houses and the foreground of seaweed and wetsand symbolize the mixing of nature and man; the crossroads of the coastal culture.
