This photo was taken in Myanmar. Most of burmese girls and women apply Thanaka on their cheeks. It`s a natural pasta coming from some trees and has been used for thousands years. It is supposed to give some fresh sensation and to protect from sunburn. Their is no any religion reason for that fashion.
