The Central University Library was inaugurated on March 14th, 1885 as a royal gift, from Carol I, for the students of Bucharest, under the name of ââ¬ÅCarol I University Foundation. The Library is located in central Bucharest, across the street from the National Art Museum. In front of the library you can find the statue of Carol I, first king of Romania, on horse-back. |
