| The Stone sits at the start of the path to the summit of Merrick on the north side of Loch trool, Dumfries and Galloway. It commemorates Robert the Bruceââ¬â¢s first victory over the English Army in 1307. It was placed in 1929 on the 600th anniversary of Bruceââ¬â¢s death. |
