Pictured is a Bronze statue of Baron Jozsef Eotvos in Hungarian dress by Huszar Adolf in 1879, Budapest, Hungary. JÃÆózsef baron EÃÆötvÃÆös de VÃÆásÃÆárosnamÃÆény was born in Buda in 1813 and died in Pest in 1871. He was a Hungarian writer and statesman. In 1913 a bronze laurel wreath and plaque were added to the base. The English translation of the inscription reads ` This memorial plaque is devoted by the Hungarian youth and high school teachers to the memory of EÃÆötvÃÆös on 26 October 1913 at the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
