Amaryllis flower (amaryliis sp) is a popular ornamental plant today, this plant has various types and colors. Amaryllis is usually found in the yard or garden in pots. The Greeks called this flower Amarullis which means "splendour" or "glowing". For men amaryllis means strong and confident, for women it means beauty. This flower has a shape like a star and a trumpet so it symbolizes pride.[1] This flower can bloom and we can find it in the Ngasem Ayu area, Patuk District, Gunungkidul. Amaryllis flowers usually begin to bloom at the beginning of the rainy season. Usually this flower can only last for 2-3 weeks because this flower is often exposed to rain so that the flower is easily damaged.[2] When you enter the Gunungkidul area, such as on the Yogyakarta-Wonosari route, the beauty of the flower which has the local name Puspa Patuk, after the border monument with Bantul Regency, there are many orange flowers.
