| Bran Castle (Romanian: Castelul Bran), near Bra?ov, is a medieval fortress and a cultural monument of national importance in Romania. The fortress is located in the town of Bran on the border between the Romanian provinces of Transylvania and Wallachia and is also known as "Dracula's Castle", despite the fact that it has almost no connection with the Romanian national hero Vlad the Impaler. |
