| Build almost 650 years ago, Bran Castle is very often associated with the character of Dracula (created by the Irish writer Bram Stoker). In truth, this castle is contemporary with Vlad the Impeller (personification of Dracula in Romanian history), but except a few stops that he made at this border guarding castle during this life no other connections have been found.
